GROOMING EDUCATION

Know your skin.
Master your routine.

Clear, practical guidance for more controlled body grooming—from preparation and technique to aftercare and trimmer hygiene.

Preparing skin and hair before trimming
01 · BEFORE

Prepare, don’t rush.

Start with clean skin. Warm water can soften hair, while good lighting helps you see growth direction and skin folds clearly.

  • Choose a guard before switching on
  • Check for irritation or broken skin
  • Begin longer, then shorten gradually

02 · DURING

Let control lead.

Use light pressure and short, deliberate passes. On loose or folded skin, gently flatten the working area before trimming.

  • Follow hair growth first
  • Avoid repeatedly passing over one spot
  • Never force a clogged or pulling blade

03 · AFTER

Clean, dry, reset.

Remove loose hair, rinse compatible parts as instructed and let the trimmer dry before storage. Give freshly trimmed skin time to settle.

  • Wear loose, breathable clothing afterward
  • Stop using products that sting or burn
  • Store the trimmer in a dry place

THE ESSENTIALS

Five things worth knowing.

General educational information—not a diagnosis or substitute for personal medical advice.

01Trim or shave: what’s the difference?+

Trimming leaves some hair above the skin, while a close shave cuts at or near the skin surface. Leaving a little length may reduce friction for people prone to irritation or ingrown hairs.

02What causes razor bumps?+

Short hairs can curve back into the skin, especially when hair is coarse or curly. Shaving too close, going against growth, stretching skin or using repeated pressure can increase irritation.

03How can ingrown hairs be reduced?+

Soften the hair, work in its growth direction, use fewer passes and avoid cutting unnecessarily close. Do not scratch, pick or squeeze a bump.

04How should sensitive areas be approached?+

Use a guard, light pressure and good visibility. Keep the skin gently taut, slow down around folds and contours, and stop if the blade pulls or skin becomes uncomfortable.

05When should you stop and seek help?+

Pause grooming over broken, inflamed or infected-looking skin. Seek qualified medical advice if an area becomes very painful, hot or swollen, if irritation keeps returning, or if you feel unwell.
